CLIMATE CHANGES – Truth does not
Aġenzija Żgħażagħ would like to ask you about your ideas and practices related to buying local, environmental impact of the construction industry, and ways how to get around. This campaign is part of Aġenzija Żgħażagħ’s work towards awareness raising of the SDGs as part of its European Youth Information Day 2020 celebrations. Aġenzija Żgħażagħ is also particularly interested in getting to know whether the access of information would make a difference to small decisions you make take on an everyday basis.
The aim of the campaign is to invite young people to reflect critically and engage with the issues related to the climate emergency. It is a fact that climate change is affecting our ecosystems and the way we live. The climate crisis has also turned into a crucial source of global action and protest among young citizens. Through initiatives such as Fridays for Future, young people have taken ownership of this fight and protest against the lack of action on the climate emergency.
Agenzija Zghazagh will be conducting 3 polls with young people in Malta to learn from them about their awareness of shopping locally, the environmental impact of the construction industry and modes of travel. SDG 16 – Right to Press Freedom and Information – specifically targets the right to access information while SDG 13 targets Climate Action. Aġenzija Żgħażagħ is implementing this campaign with the collaboration of ERYICA – the European Youth Information and Counselling Agency.
