Data policies are norms regulating management and publication of data. They range from recommendations to enforcements. There is much variation in their scope and content across countries and across disciplines in single countries.
When we think abut data policy we usually think about data privacy or data protection :
Privacy concerns exist wherever personally identifiable information or other sensitive information is collected, stored, used, and finally destroyed or deleted – in digital form or otherwise.
In the EU, the directive appplies and is applied in AEGEE is Directive 95/46/EC (1995).
With big issues and stakeholders such as bg data and internet governance, debates about data policy are very harsh as the Albrecht Report showed.
What do you think? Which best practices shouold be shared on this topic?
And what about OPIN? It's under German data protection law, which is the most protective of personnal data in whole Europe!
